For nearly twenty years and six studio albums, L.A. phenoms Touché Amoré have served as vanguards of the contemporary hardcore scene. Throughout their discography the band has probed and navigated the human complexities of dealing with anxiety, isolation, illness, and grief. This year they will mark ten years of their groundbreaking album ‘Stage Four’ with a deluxe anniversary reissue arriving digitally on April 10th. The expanded edition features eleven new tracks, including unreleased demos and remixes with artists Cody Votolato (The Blood Brothers), Kerry McCoy (Deafheaven), Youth Code, and a tender collaboration with Wisp. Declared at the time of its release as a piece of “songwriting maturity now marked by complex and soaring melodies,” by NPR, ‘Stage Four’ marked a pivotal moment in the band's career, balancing life and loss as singer Jeremy Bolm navigated personal tragedy.
But Touché Amoré are certainly no one’s nostalgia act. In more recent years, 2020’s ‘Lament’ was deemed “one of the year’s most essential hardcore albums” by The Fader while 2024’s ‘Spiral In A Straight Line’ was declared by Pitchfork as “excellent … an overture of reconciliation to the two wolves inside Touché Amoré: hardcore and indie rock.”
Formed in Burbank, California in 2007, the band’s current line-up of lead singer Jeremy Bolm, guitarists Nick Steinhardt and Clayton Stevens, bassist Tyler Kirby and drummer Elliot Babin have created a trajectory for themselves through hard work and dedication.
This spring the band will celebrate this landmark anniversary by embarking on an April US tour and a June EU run where they will play ‘Stage Four’ in full. A handful of European festival appearances are on the books as well, including Primavera Sound, Outbreak Fest and more.
